Agate slices that inspire Sarah Lindsay

Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2001, Scottish designer Sarah Lindsay has been developing her use of acrylic in her garden studio in North London. Her innovative use of materials is seen in her Dust collection; thin, translucent slices of acrylic adorn the ears and neck in beautiful hues influenced by nature. Colour ways "lichen" and "slate" are combined with eye-popping lime and burnt orange contrasting with oxidised silver.
The edges of the slices look eroded as if formed as rocky geodes but thanks to the modern material are lightweight and easy to wear, allowing the light to shine through them like stained glass as the hang from the body.
