Michelle Lowe Holder

Canadian born Michelle Lowe-Holder studied Fashion Design at the Pratt Institute in New York, and further completed an MA in Knitwear at Central St. Martins in London. Following graduation the “MICHELLE LOWE-HOLDER”  collection was launched where the cutting edge designer was awarded sponsorship from the British Fashion Council including runway shows at London Fashion Week.

Constantly researching material development, Michelle was invited into a mentoring program at the London College of Fashion and the Centre for Sustainable Fashionto help develop a more sustainable approach to making. The AW10 “Ribbon Reclaim” was the first MLH accessory-only collection using heritage handcrafting and vintage details with upcycling and end of line materials.  New collections are presented bi-annually and have been exhibited and are sold internationally in shops from New York to Norway, with Gill Wing Gallery currently an exclusive London Stockist. Alongside the seasonal collections Michelle Lowe-Holder has been involved in many projects from designing for a heritage Norwegian wool company to upcycling for M&S and being part of the CFS development team for the Nike Maker App.
