"Subtle textures & layered finishes"
Originally studying printed and woven texture at Manchester, Jessica brought this love of woven texture and surfaces to metal work. Studying her MA at Sheffield, the artist learned the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. This allowed her to combine layers of gold to contrast her impressed and patterned surfaces.
This adding a luxurious edge to her contemporary silver jewellery.
"There is an inherent simplicity of both form and function in my work. All designs, whatever the inspiration are translated into elegant pieces with subtle textures or more complex and layered finishes.
Each item is handcrafted by myself and thus the characteristics of all aspects of my work are under constant review. The result is an ever-changing range of very wearable jewellery."
