I am very interested in ancient jewellery like the Egyptians, Etrucians and many ancient civilisations that worked in metal. I hope my jewellery has that quality. This jewellery is mainly 18ct gold and sterling silver. Finishes used are oxidised silver, hammered and forged gold and silver.
I leave the metal in its natural state using techniques. Such as Forging , reticulation patination and hammering. I do sketch a lot and try to keep the same freeness in the jewellery.
I have used some precious and semi precious stones such as garnets, tourmalines, diamonds for their colour. The range of jewellery includes necklaces, rings, earrings, brooches, and bracelets.
Born in London. Grew up in Barbados studied at Middlesex University and Postgrad Jewellery Edinburgh College of Art & Design. I set up a workshop in Barbados and then returned to London in 1996 where I currently design and make precious jewellery.
